Navina and Summit Health announce a new AI-powered partnership

Navina, the leading AI-powered clinical intelligence platform for value-based care, today announced a strategic partnership with Summit Health, a leader in multi-specialty care and primary care. Through the collaboration, Summit Health is deploying Navina’s AI tool to help clinicians better understand and act upon their patients’ health status at the point of care, improving quality of care, and reducing administrative burden.

Summit Health’s selection of Navina underscores the platform’s ability to meet the demands of large, high-performing healthcare organizations.

The initial implementation was completed in seven weeks, onboarding more than 1,000 providers, coders, and quality care team members. Within the first month of deployment, clinicians decreased administrative burdens and consistently addressed and reviewed Navina’s AI-powered recommendations, when appropriate.

Navina’s AI copilot integrates seamlessly with Summit Health’s secure electronic health record to support the end-to-end clinical workflow, from pre-visit chart review through accurate diagnosis, care gap closure, and automated compliant documentation. By turning fragmented patient data into a clear, actionable clinical narrative, Navina enables clinically-grounded risk burden capture at the point of care while streamlining collaboration and operational efficiency across care teams.

Providing clinicians with the full patient history to inform care and support appropriate prospective condition coding is coming to the forefront, in light of CMS’s 2027 Medicare Advantage Advance Notice, and its shift toward encounter-linked, clinically-substantiated documentation.

Navina’s AI engine captures the full patient context by drawing from structured and unstructured data across multiple secure sources, including EHRs, clinical notes, labs, claims, and external records. Evidence-based recommendations are delivered directly within the clinician’s workflow, supporting confident decision-making, consistent documentation, and improved clinical and quality outcomes. Navina’s dedicated coder workspace enables coding and clinical documentation integrity (CDI) team members to review, validate, and communicate directly within the same clinical context used by providers – reducing rework, closing documentation gaps faster, and improving alignment across teams.
